Built in 1845, by James Emmitt, The Grand Tavern is an integral part of local history. The Erie Canal, a major thoroughfare, was located directly in front of the building. The Grand Hotel & Tavern was a location frequented by many travellers of the Canal. Over the course of the years, the building has seen many owners and much change.
Phil Sager purchased the building in 2005. A Master Carpenter by trade, Mr. Sager put much time and effort into making The Grand Tavern what it is today!
